Mrs. Wright's Class

This week we have been busy wrapping up our "winter unit" and learning about some of the fun things winter brings. We are also finishing our measurement chapter in math and will begin Chapter 7 next week. Our writing is coming along and today we learned the sight word can. In class your child is making their own sight word ring that will come home next week in their book bag. Please practice these sight words nightly in addition to reading your little books.

Our class is looking forward to February. We will be celebrating friendship and Black History all month. On Friday, February 12th we will have a card exchange in class. There will be more information to go home about that soon. I am sure you have all been introduced to our favorite book character Flat Stanley. He should have made it home this week and I ask that he be returned by February 5th so we can mail him away for some fun adventures. The kids have enjoyed reading the Flat Stanley series and we can't wait to see where his travels take him.

Your kids are doing super and they continue to amaze me in their daily work. I am seeing great progress and hope that you are too.
